The Atomos Shinobi II is a slim and lightweight on-camera monitor with a size of 5.2″ . The FullHD monitor offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a brightness of 1500 nits . The Atomos Shinobi II has a lockable HDMI input that supports resolutions up to 4K DCI and 4K UHD with up to 30p , as well as 1080p HD with up to 60p and a lockable USB-C port that can be used for camera control and power supply . The Shinobi II monitor can display camera status indicators , so you can directly view the camera’s internal recording settings , the battery status and the camera’s remaining recording time. In the HDR HLG and HDR PQ monitoring modes, a preview is possible to see what the camera’s LOG output could look like in HDR. Custom LUTs can be loaded via SD card . The Shinobi II supports the common log formats such as Sony’s SLog, Canon’s C-Log or ARRI Log. A 9-grid and frame guides make it easier to align the image perfectly. The camera can be charged via the USB-C PD connection (13 W output) , and the Shinobi II can be powered either with an optional NP-F battery type or via USB-C PD (10 W input) .
