The powerful 6K BSI full-frame layered CMOS sensor is housed in the compact and ergonomic body of the EOS C80 and together with the RF mount and Dual Pixel CMOS AF II technology provides outstanding image quality and flexibility in your productions.
The EOS C80 is designed to deliver excellent results in professional video and live productions where high image quality and performance and a compact, familiar design together with flexible ergonomics are essential for single operator or small team productions.

6K BSI full frame sensor

Capture breathtaking footage with Canon’s state-of-the-art Backside Illuminated Sensor (BSI), which delivers next-generation capabilities, triple base ISO sensitivity (800 / 3200 / 12800), organic color reproduction and 16 stops of dynamic range.

Compact, ergonomic and familiar design

The familiar and updated design offers improved ergonomics, connectivity, as well as an updated joystick and multi-function port. Use the top handle or build your own with the flexibility to shoot in demanding conditions.

Dual Pixel CMOS AF II with EOS iTR AF X

Enjoy updated, faster autofocus technology. Extremely sharp and fast tracking of faces, eyes, head, body and animals on the entire surface of the sensor. You’re in full control with face-only detection and customizable settings that guarantee focus will never fluctuate.

Professional recording formats and high frame rates

Including 12-bit Cinema RAW Light LT up to 6K 30P and 4:2:2 10-bit up to 4K 120P. Upsampled 4K resolution is available via XF-AVC and Enhanced XF-AVC
Formats S / XF-HEVC S (MP4) with detailed metadata and file name structures. HDMI RAW output for compatible external recorders.

RF mounting system

Rely on premium prime, zoom and cinema lenses for unrivaled optical performance, real-time lens metadata and ultra-fast AF / IS systems. Easily use PL and EF lenses with Canon mount adapters.

Uncompromising connectivity

The I/O on the body of professional cameras includes
12G-SDI, HDMI, 2 x mini-XLR, microphone input, remote and Timecode. The built-in Wi-Fi / Ethernet function enables real-time IP streaming (SRT / RTSP) and remote control using the XC protocol and the Multi-Camera Control application. Expansion is possible with Canon’s multi-function port.

It is designed for the future

Real-time lens metadata export and capture for VP and VFX with support for Unreal Engine and After Effects, including distortion correction data. You can also create immersive VR experiences with Canon’s RF 5.2mm F2.8L Dual Fisheye lens.
