The Pavo series now includes another telephoto lens, with a 180mm focal length, allowing more creative freedom and efficient filming on set. Longer focal lengths result in a shallower depth of field, compressing the surrounding space and isolating subjects against a creamy background. This increases the tension and emotional impact of the images and creates a more intense visual experience.

The entire Pavo range features a 16-blade aperture that effortlessly creates the classic oval bokeh of anamorphic images. The advanced optical design ensures precise control of chromatic aberration and distortion, ensuring sharp and clear resolution from the center to the corners with vivid and natural color reproduction. The soft, elliptical bokeh and gentle background blur add an artistic touch to the image and enhance its cinematic appeal.

The 65mm lens can focus down to 14.4″ for macro shots, and its low-distortion barrel design retains all the desirable attributes of anamorphic shooting without sacrificing image quality. The PAVO’s PL mount can quickly be switched to an EF mount using the included EF bayonet. Focus marks are defined in feet, and the compact size and lightweight design of the lens make it an ideal option for cameras mounted on drones, mechanical and electronic stabilizers, and in handheld situations where keeping weight to a minimum is critical.
