ComSTAR Self Contained headsets are “All in One” full duplex transceivers that feature miniaturized wireless circuitry built right inside the earcups. This streamlined design is a breakthrough because it eliminates the belt pack radios that are required with traditional headset communication systems. Up to eight users to talk simultaneously just like on a regular telephone within a 400 yard range enhancing jobsite productivity and safety. ComSTAR provide ease operation and outstanding full duplex voice communications across a multitude of industrial applications.

The COMSTAR XT-8 8-User Full Duplex Wireless Intercom System from Eartec is a fully functional wireless intercom that offers full duplex communication in a simple design that does not require the use of beltpacks. The system consists of a Com-Center base station and 8 wireless headsets. These components create a wireless network of 8 users who can all communicate simultaneously with no delay or voice activation; ideal for applications where teams need full use of their hands. You can even split users into 2 groups of 4 people, or bring everyone together in conference mode.
Each headset connects wirelessly to the Com-Center at distances of up to 400 yards in any direction, allowing the headsets to be up to 800 yards apart while still enjoying full communication capabilities. The around-ear cushions and padded headbands provide lasting comfort for all-day use. Integrated controls make it easy to adjust the volume of the headsets and program them in the field. The COMSTAR system is self-contained, so no remote antenna is needed.
Each headset has a microphone at the end of a positionable boom, allowing you to place the mic in the best spot for excellent vocal pickup. A foam windscreen reduces the effects of wind noise and breath pops for ultimate clarity. The headsets have rechargeable lithium batteries that provide up to 10 hours of operation, while the Com-Center has a rechargeable NiMH battery that provides up to 6 hours of operation. The Com-Center also has an AC wall plug and a battery sled for disposable AA batteries to give you additional powering options. A multi-port desktop charger is included that allows you to charge the Com-Center and headset batteries simultaneously.
The system works in the 1900 MHz frequency band, which is reserved by the FCC for “PCS” voice communication, so no license is required. The system is certified for use in the USA, Canada, Europe, and Australia.
