The R2 bundle includes the Arm X1, the Vest Lite, and the Matrix Sled R2 Lite, which includes an LCD monitor bracket, a V-mount battery plate, a docking bracket, an adjustable carbon fiber center post, and a hard-shell case with custom foam to carry the entire kit.

The heavy-duty Sled R2 Lite offers gimbal mounting designed for the DJI Ronin 2, or it can run in standard gimbal mode, and it includes a V-mount battery plate for power at the base, and the camera or gimbal mounts onto the micrometric camera platform. The slim aluminum Arm X1 provides a sturdy stabilizer arm that features advanced damping and a standard stabilizer mounting post, and it has interchangeable springs for different levels of tension to support loads up to 9.92 lb. The arm mounts onto the Vest Lite for right- or left-handed operators, and the quick release vest features foam padding, weight distribution, and washable fabric parts.

The LCD bracket allows you to mount your camera monitor, so your monitor view is always balanced with your camera setup. The whole system fits into the included wheeled hard-shell case that features IP67 water resistance, a pressure release valve, a folding pull handle, and custom-cut foam.

The Matrix R2 Lite sled is designed to stabilize your camera footage when mounted on the DJI Ronin 2 gimbal, and it differs from the Matrix R2 as it is designed to use a smaller monitor with your rig, and this rig comes with a small counterweight set. The sled features a telescoping carbon fiber center post, a micrometric head, a monitor LCD holder, a V-mount battery plate, a Ronin 2 plate adapter, a Ronin 2 battery holder, a Ronin 2 yaw lock, an extended docking bracket, a U-bracket, a counterweight plate, ten counterweights, and a hard-shell carry case for the entire system.

The micrometric head allows you to mount the gimbal on the top or bottom of the sled to create a variety of shooting angles. The carbon fiber center post is height adjustable for working in a variety of production environments, and it features a docking bracket to dock the sled for balancing or for when it’s not in use. The monitor mount allows you to install and adjust an onboard monitor to the system. The U-bracket allows you to distance the sled from an optional stabilizing arm or vest. The counterweight with ten counterweights mounts onto the bottom to help balance a heavier rig setup.

The V-mount battery plate mounts on the bottom rods and runs power up through the center column to the head, so you don’t have to run a mess of external cabling. The sled can be broken down and stored in the included hard-shell carry case.

The Arm X1 is constructed from 7075 aluminum, which is classified as superior to aircraft-grade aluminum. It has a Brinnel hardness, fatigue strength, and tensile strength over 60% higher than those of 6082 high-quality aluminum.

Fine-Tuned Resistance

A force-multiplier control enables the user to precisely match the resistance with the mass of your rig. This on-the-go capability comes in handy when doing a lens swap, removing a matte box, or other alterations that affect the mass of the payload. Finding the balance between too much resistance, which produces oscillations, and too little, which creates a lagging effect, is made simple by the Arm X1’s XTune system.

Boom Range
